Metro Care Services, Inc., seeks high-quality Direct Support Providers (DSPs) to partner with us in delivering individualized services to developmentally disabled individuals. We welcome a diverse population of individuals who share our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the people they serve. Qualified, certified DSPs are needed within a variety of locations, schedules, experience levels and personal goals.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Our Direct Support Providers are compassionate, patient, and skilled. They are reliable, knowledgeable and committed to providing quality care. DSP's are able to work either independently or as part of a team.
- DSP's must be 18 years old; or 21 years old to be able to transport. For many direct care positions, prior work experience is helpful, but not always necessary.
- DSP positions require fingerprinting and a criminal background check, as well as a motor vehicle department check if transporting an individual. TB test may also be required.
- For DSP positions, specific training and a certificate of completion may be required. Some community colleges and training institutes offer courses in basic caregiving that many of our providers attend.
