Eligibility for Services


The Arizona Department of Economic Security/ Division of Developmental Disabilities provides support to state residents who meet certain eligibility requirements, such as if they have or are at risk for a variety of functional limitations or developmental disabilities, including epilepsy, cerebral palsy, cognitive disability or autism. Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) is Arizona's Medicaid agency, and offers services for individuals who require the level of care provided in an Intermediate Care Facility for Mental Retardation and Related Conditions. These services are offered through the Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS). This program is intended for individuals of any age who are determined to need ongoing services at that institutional level.
